The Blogosphere And It's Oscars: Blogger's Choice Awards

Roll the red carpet, prepare your award acceptance speech and behold, the Blogger's choice awards is here. Finally you get to vote your aunt's blog as the " Worst Blog of all Time". That is the most derogatory category by far, you can be rest assured, besides it's the only such category. The other categories are more rewarding. There were 32 categories in all, till the last count including "Hottest Mommy Blogger" and "Most Obnoxious Blogger" categories . They will reward the entire litany of creative escapades in the blogosphere.
During the typing of this blog, the term" blogosphere ", in the most bewildering manner was singled out as a spelling mistake by the spell check utility.
That is probably the most derogatory and belittling thing that a blogger's ear drums can tolerate. But the truth, away from the spell check utility is that the blogosphere is nothing short of a revolution and has come to entail quite a few things around the world, for instance it is seen as the embodiment of freedom around the world. The heroes of this revolution are me and you, the bloggers, who merit a few laurel wreaths. Blogger choice awards will bloggers just the plaudits they merit and recognition they deserve. The best part is that the bloggers choice awards are completely democratic. All you have to do is to go to the web awards website and cast your vote. In the process you will be able to know about some of the most intriguing and bizarre blogs from across the blogosphere. You can also nominate blogs of your friends, relatives, or simply the blogs you admire including your own blog, the bragging rights are for the taking. you can register for free.

From Iran With Disdainful Love

Iran seemed to wilt under the unabated pressure exerted on it by the subjects of the Queen. Iran released the 15 sailors it claimed to have captured while they were treading dangerous Iranian waters, dangerous of course, if one holds an American or British passport and potentially fatal if one serves in the armed force of these countries. I wonder, if going down south to the picturesque Maldives on an excursion would have been a more prudent choice on the part of the sailors. That's punny! Pun aside, a face off between the West and Iran the has been averted for the time being and it might just be the calm before a mega storm.
Here is the link of the news in the Iran Daily about the release of the 15 sailors
